Cubby Momsen

Cubby Momsen's life experiences sound like chapters from an adventure novel: Born in the bucolic English Cotswolds to a third-generation family of funeral directors, horse trainer, ski instructor, justice of the peace, rescue squad member, summer camp director, mother, business woman and, for the past 5 years, a real estate agent who has shown properties by snowshoe and helicopter. Above all, Cubby is committed to Stowe. "The beauty and tranquility of Vermont captured my heart," she says. She met her husband and raised three children here. She has her ear to the ground and her finger to the wind.  Being married to a builder specializing in renovations adds to her expertise. "I'm good at figuring stuff out. I'm aware of what can be done with buildings and properties." Like most Vermonters, Cubby is an outdoorswoman, sensitive to Stowe's four distinct seasons. "Sure, the weather here can be awful sometimes, but those crystal-clear days when the snow sparkles and you can see for miles have no equal. The fall colors are more brilliant than even the locals can believe. Warm summer days make me thankful not to live in the city. I will never live anywhere else."
