A bit on the cool side again today. Our agents are busy meeting new clients and listing properties. Bob McLeod, at the Mountain Road Office, had a quick lunch and ran off to an appointment. A Colleague pointed out that he is just about as busy as Mr. Obama. We laughed.
If I am not mistaken, I believe the movie Robin Hood opens tonight at the Stowe Cinema. Meanwhile, the Helen Day Art Center features its 28th Annual Student Art Exhibit. In their own words: “A very colorful show by little artists.” It is often quite moving to witness the abilities, great talent and often the maturity of otherwise young artists; certainly a feat for the eyes and a wonderful way to unwind and open the mind.
Speaking of feasts, Vermont Restaurant Week begins today, through Thursday May 20th. “For seven days, eateries around the state will offer special prix-fixe menus. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Vermont Foodbank.” So we can eat and help feed others at the same time. Sounds like a mighty feel-good deal! Participating Stowe restaurants include: Mr. Pickwick’s at Ye Olde England Inne, The Dining Room at Trapp Family Lodge, Piecasso and Michael’s on the Hill.
Interested in food and Live Music? The Grey Fox Inn features Jim Cheronko tonight, from 6:30 to 9:00.
There is always plenty to do in this culturally rich community. We naturally develop routines at work. There are plenty of opportunities and reasons to develop routines in our spare time also, for the mere pleasure of our eye, ears and taste buds, and certainly for the joy of sharing moments of life with others.
Have a great weekend.
